Trecerea la Domnul a sorei Mariana (Manana) Teodoroiu

 

Cu adâncă durere, Biserica Baptistă Română din Nashville TN anunţă trecerea la Domnul a sorei Mariana (Manana) Teodoroiu, o femeie blândă, curajoasă şi bună, gata de jertfă şi sacrificiu pentru Domnul Isus şi semenii ei.

În aceste momente grele ale despărţirii, dorim ca mângâierea Mântuitorului nostru iubit să copleşească inimile familiilor îndoliate (Teodoroiu şi Leşeanu) şi a bisericii din care a făcut parte sora Manana.

În speranţa revederii pe tărâmul veşniciei, ne punem toată încrederea în cuvintele Domnului Isus:

„Să nu vi se tulbure inima. Aveţi credinţă în Dumnezeu şi aveţi credinţă în Mine. În casa Tatălui Meu sunt multe locaşuri. Dacă n-ar fi aşa v-aş fi spus. Eu mă duc să vă pregătesc un loc. Şi după ce Mă voi duce şi vă voi pregăti un loc, Mă voi întoarce şi vă voi lua cu Mine, ca acolo unde sunt Eu să fiţi şi voi.”       Ioan 14: 1-3

Domnul să mângâie, să binecuvinteze şi să intărească familia îndoliată.

Catalina (Lina) Maralescu (1967-2012)

,,Dincol’ de zare e-o dimineață mai glorioasă, fără apus…”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Catalina Maralescu, soție, mamă, fiică și soră preaiubită, se bucură acum de această dimineață fără sfîrșit în prezența, lumina și pacea scumpului ei Mântuitor și Domn.

Până la revederea de dincolo de zare îi vor duce dorul soțul îndurerat, Dimitrie Maralescu, alături de care a trăit fericită mai bine de 27 de ani, copiii ei preaiubiți, Emanuel (24) și Michael (21), părinții ei dragi, Paul și Domnica Ghinescu, precum și fratele ei, Ion. Domnul să aline suferința fiecăruia dintre ei.

Catalina s-a născut în Caransebeș, România, la data de 4 decembrie 1967, primul din cei doi copii ai familiei Ghinescu. Hotărîrea ei de a-L urma pe Domnul Isus toată viața a fost pecetluită public prin botezul ei la data de 1 iunie 1983 în Biserica Baptisă din Caransebeș, pastor Belciu Busuioc. Ea a respectat această decizie pînă la sfîrșitul alergării ei, precum stau mărturie ceilalți slujitori ai Domnului care i-au influențat viața de credință, George Dancea, Mark Hobafcovich, Ciprian Baltă și Timotei Miu.

Dimitrie Maralescu și Catalina s-au căsătorit la data de 29 aprilie 1985 și au fost binecuvîntați cu întîiul lor născut, Emanuel, în 17 noiembrie 1988. În ianuarie 1991 și-au început viața în Statele Unite ale Americii, alături de noua lor familie în Domnul, First Romanian Baptist Church din Chicago. Michael s-a născut la data de 4 martie 1991. Lina a dedicat familiei sale tot ce a avut mai bun și mai prețios, dorind ca ei să rămână credincioși alături de Domnul.

Absența ei va fi resimțită și de Biserica Baptistă Română din Nashville, unde familia Maralescu s-a integrat odată cu mutarea lor în Tennessee și unde Lina a slujit în domeniul administrativ. Îi vor duce dorul prietenele și surorile cu care s-a rugat, a studiat, a plîns și s-a bucurat.

Mulțumim Domnului că a lăsat între noi o femeie discretă, bună și blândă, cu zâmbetul pe buze și credința în suflet. Acum cerul este mai bogat.

Catalina Maralescu, beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister, is now enjoying her eternal morning in the very presence, light and peace of her Savior and Lord.

Until the reunion beyond the horizon she will be missed by her grieving husband, Dimitrie Maralescu, with whom she lived happily for more than 27 years, her precious children, Emanuel (24) and  Michael (21), her beloved parents, Paul and Domnica Ghinescu, as well as her brother Ion. May the Lord heal every aching heart.

Catalina was born in Caransebeș, România, on December 4, 1967, the first of two children in the Ghinescu family. Her decision to follow the Lord for the rest of her days was made public through her baptism on June 1, 1983 in the Baptist Church of Caransebeș, pastor Belciu Busuioc. She honored her promise to God, as some of her other pastors can attest: George Dancea, Mark Hobafcovich, Ciprian Baltă and Timotei Miu.

Dimitrie Maralescu and Catalina were married on April 29, 1985 and were blessed with their firstborn, Emanuel, on November 17, 1988. They began their life in the United States of America in January 1991, in the midsts of the First Romanian Baptist Church of Chicago. Michael was born on March 4, 1991. Lina gave her best and most precious to her family, wishing above all that they remain faithful to God.

Catalina’s absence is already felt among the Romanian Baptist Church of Nashville, which the Maralescu family joined when they moved to TN. Lina served her church in administrative matters for many years. Her friends and sisters who prayed, studied, cried and rejoiced with her will miss her greatly.

We are thankful to God for sharing with us a discreet, kind and gentle soul, with a smile on her face and faith in her heart. Heaven is now richer.

Misiunea tinerilor la Charlotte, NC

În duminica din 20 Martie 2011 tinerii bisericii însoţiti de fratele pastor Timotei Miu s-au bucurat împreună cu Biserica Română Baptistă din Charlotte, NC în cadrul programului de după amiază.

După programul de laudă susţinut de tineri, Cuvântul a fost împărtăsit de fratele Timotei Miu încheind astfel o seara frumoasă de părtăsie şi de închinare cu fraţii din biserica păstorită de fratele Livius Percy care ne-au fost gazde minunate.

Dumnezeu să-şi ia Slava din lucrarea făcută la Charlotte, biserică care prin mila Sa poate sa-L laude într-un locaş nou de închinare pe care ne-a făcut plăcere să-l vedem pentru prima dată.

MISSIONS CONFERENCE DEBRIEFING

Grace-that was the word of the weekend. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”(Romans 3:23-24) This year’s RBYA Missions Conference was my first one ever, and I truly saw the hand and blessing of God over every aspect and event that occurred.

Friday night, at the starting service of the conference, we were greeted with the question, what is the gospel? Common answers to this question are- that Jesus loves you, that He died on the cross, ect. We think that through dressing modestly, reading God’s word, and following the principles and rules that He gives us, we know what the gospel is and are sharing it with those around us. But is this the true meaning of the gospel?

Pastor Ryan Fullerton pointed us back to God’s word to find the answer. Romans 1: 16 says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.” As we went through the Scriptures that night, I realized how we have lost the message of what the gospel truly is. The gospel brings righteousness from Jesus that we can in no way earn ourselves- Jesus “trades clothes with us” as Pastor Ryan explained, and now, God sees His perfect and holy sacrifice when He looks at us. And this, the gospel, is our foundation for missions.

It being a Missions Conference, many different missions were of course involved. Before heading out on the field on Saturday however, three different workshops were held on various topics that are often confronted by the youth of today.

Pastor Ryan led a workshop on “Biblical Manhood and Womanhood in the Home and on the Mission Field”. Once again, God’s Word was our guide as we learned that we are all equal in the eyes of God. We are created in His image but are given distinctly different roles that when correctly fulfilled, display the true nature of God.

Another workshop was led by brother Andrei Sava on “The Reliability of the Gospels” in which the four gospels were examined by using bibliography, internal evidence, and external evidence to confirm that the word of God is “flawless” just as He tells us in Psalm 18:30.

The third workshop was held by brother Iacob Brincovan on the topic of “Worship”. By looking at what worship is and what it isn’t, we learned how to keep our focus on God through all of our worship because He is the only one worthy of all of our praise.

After these invigorating workshops, we all split up into different teams to head out on the mission field. We had several different groups: one went to the park and picked up trash, talking to people there and also handing out tracts- another group went to two nursing homes to encourage and sing to the elderly- a group of all girls went to a pregnancy center in town and helped there- a group visited sister CiCi, an elderly woman from the local church, and spent time worshiping with her – and a final group wrote cards of encouragement for homeless in the Hickory area.

Each mission had its overwhelming amount of blessings for those on the giving and the receiving end. God’s hand worked through each of these groups of people as they handed over their fears and uncertainties to Him and let His light shine.

That night at the service, we looked at the first command in the book of Romans found in chapter 6 verse 11 that tells us that we have to be “dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus”. Not “mostly dead”, as Pastor Ryan reminded us, but completely dead and now united to Christ.

The final day of the conference, a youth choir formed and sang during the service along with the orchestra, and of course, the congregation in order to praise the Lord with everything we have! We learned that we are not held captive to the law anymore- we are now under grace. We cannot be under both. The law says “do this, or you’re dead.” Grace is Jesus saying, “I did it all, so you’re done” (Ryan Fullerton). We don’t have to do anything to earn it- it is a gift.

Our love for Him should motivate us to strive to do His will and please and glorify our Lord. And when talking to the people there, I realized that the group of people that came to the Missions Conference was not the same people that left there. The people that left understood what the gospel means; they understood that we are completely dead to our old self, and that we are now freed from the law by grace and grace alone. And this group of people that have been made new can now share the gospel with those around them in their everyday lives, realizing that that is the daily mission that God has given them.

My relationship with God was strengthened and renewed throughout this life-changing weekend, and now, I know that I can share the gospel with those around me with confidence that the Lord will give me strength. And most importantly of all, I know the wonderful gift of God’s Grace.

Romanian Children’s Choir on Tour … şi la Nashville TN

Corul de copii al Căminului Felix în turneu … şi la Nashville TN

În zilele de 9-10 septembrie 2010, Biserica Română Baptistă din Nashville TN, păstorită de fratele Miu Timotei, împreună cu Biserica Penticostală din Galatin TN, păstorită de fratele Iulian Costea, au avut privilegiul şi bucuria să găzduiască un grup de 26 de persoane (copii si adulţi) de la Căminul Felix, Oradea, România.

După ce au călătorit timp de 3 săptămâni prin biserici din mai multe state (Florida, Georgia, Carolina de Nord, Tennessee …) aducând bucurie în 17 biserici, “Romanian Children’s Choir” au poposit şi la Nashville , aducând cu ei multă cercetare şi înviorare sufletească.

Corul a fost însoţit pe tot acest traseu de fratele pastor Mircea Filip de la Biserica Baptistă Română din Phoenix, AZ, de fratele Marcel Filip – director al complexului căminelor Felix, România şi de fratele Marius Pădure – dirijorul corului.

Pentru toată slujirea, cântarea şi mărturia întoarcerii la Domnul a multora din copii acestui cămin, nu putem spune decât :

“Lăudat să fie Domnul… căci El este Tatăl orfanilor, Apărătorul văduvelor… (Psalmul 68:5a)

şi vă invităm să cântaţi împreună cu noi şi ei…

“Căci dacă trăim, pentru Domnul trăim şi dacă murim, pentru Domnul murim, fie că trăim, fie că murim noi suntem ai Domnului…”
